The Lotus Cortina 50th Anniversary races at Brands Hatch are proving irresistible, with U2TC regular front-runner Andy Wolfe being amongst the latest to add his name to the entry list. Andy will be even more determined than usual to win as he is out to claim a unique hat-trick. He was victorious in the Lotus Élan 50th Birthday race at the corresponding event last year, then went on to co-drive Rob Hall’s AC Cobra to a win in a race marking that cars’ 50th, so what better than to complete the trio in a Cortina?
Things won’t be made easy though as his entry was quickly followed by one from respected journalist and racer Richard Meaden. He will be driving Grant Troman’s car once again, having enjoyed an epic crowd-pleasing dice with none other than Andy Wolfe at the recent Silverstone Classic meeting.
